Created in 2007, Sea Paddle NYC is a 25-mile journey that begins under the Brooklyn Bridge on August 11. Paddlers will head north up the East River, into the Harlem River, then down the Hudson River, finishing at Chelsea Piers Marina. It is one of the premier standup paddleboarding (SUP) events worldwide and is an internationally renowned charity event. SEA Paddle NYC is a World Paddle Association-sanctioned specialty event, which has attracted surfers, standup paddlers and watermen from all corners of the globe. Paddlers come for the one-of-a-kind physical challenge, the beauty of Manhattan, and the camaraderie in paddling for a cause. For more information, to register, make a donation or volunteer, visit
