Qigong, Tai Chi Events at Eastover
The 2017 calendar kicks off with Healing of the Heart Sheng Zhen Gong, taught by Junfeng Li, from March 31 to April 7, followed by Medical Qi Gong: A Comprehensive and Accessible 3 Level Workshop and Training, taught by Dr. Roger Jahnke, from April 21 to 27.
From April 21 to 23, Lorelei Chang will teach One Breath, One Brush Stroke, One Dance, a way to connect mind, body and spirit with breath, brush and movement. This program will include The Chinese Tea Ceremony: Honoring Its Healing Power, a musical ceremony led by Haiyan Feng, a tea master, Gu Zheng player and longtime qigong and healing arts practitioner.
On April 29, Eastover will host World Tai Chi and Qi Gong Day, donating its studios and grounds to group leaders and participants. Roger Jahnke, renowned physician of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, cofounder of the National Qigong Association and current director of the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi, will offer the keynote speech. From June 9 to 25, Grand Master Mantak Chia will lead a Universal Healing Tao Teacher Training at Eastover as part of his only North American teaching tour, and from June 23 to 30, Eastover’s International Symposium of Qi Gong, Taichi and Eastern Medicine will offer an opportunity to heal, connect and be empowered.
