Documentary Producers to Attend World Qigong Taichi Day

Both men studied under Cheng Man-Ching, who brought tai chi and Chinese culture to the West in the 1960s. Their film tells his story and features tai chi as a martial art and spiritual practice.
World Qigong Taichi Day will feature free presentations and lunch, demonstrations and mini-classes offered by nationally recognized leaders like Junfeng Li of tai chi, qigong, Chinese medicine and Eastern philosophy. Healthy food vendors and natural health providers will also be on hand.
“Anyone interested in learning about qigong and tai chi can bring their friends and family and dive into the wisdom of ancient Eastern healing traditions,” says Easter founder Yingxing Wang. “With our knowledgeable teachers, they can discuss and experience practical, modern applications of these healing practices.”
Admission to World Qigong Taichi Day is free, but anyone planning to attend should register at Eastover.com. Eastover is also hosting two spring workshops, The healing forces of Harmonic Sounds and Vibrations using Qigong practice with Jay Emmanuel, from June 7 to 10.
Eastover’s Medical Qigong and Eastern Medicine Symposium will take place May 13-18. Participants of all experience levels can join leaders in Eastern philosophy and practice and explore Eastern ancient healing traditions.
A pre-symposium weekend of events will include Sheng Zhen Meditation and Healing with Junfeng Li, Liz Ely and Arlin Hodinh, and Ba Gua Zhang with Rick Barrett and Fukui Yang.
