Practitioner Profile: Kay Yin
Kay Yin created Affirmation Yoga to share a new offering to the world. While going through her journey of self-discovery, her yoga practice became her source of strength. She recognized and experienced transformations through her affirmations practiced with yogasanas.
Each affirmation was written during a time of triumph over fear, discouragement, self-doubt, and the heavy human emotions we have all experienced. By combining her affirmations with yoga, she developed her presentation of yoga, which combines the spoken words, yoga postures, breathing techniques, and meditation.
“Whether you are new to yoga or have practiced for many years, this is a completely new experience,” Kay Yin says. “There’s an emphasis on collective unity—meditating together, breathing together and moving together. Individually, each practitioner gets to create and manifest their affirmation. This is a new and beautiful expression of yoga.”
