Dr. Jillian Finker, ND, CNS, founder of Finker Wellness in Bellmore, has been honored by Stony Brook University with a feature in a special alumni video highlighting graduates who have made meaningful contributions in their fields. Finker was selected from more than 200,000 alumni from the university’s pre-medical program, which also includes a traditional medical school.

“It was a tremendous privilege to represent naturopathic doctors and to highlight the important role our field plays in the broader landscape of medicine,” says Finker.

In the video, she reflects on how her education laid the foundation for a 20-year career in naturopathic practice. “I would not have been able to go to naturopathic medical school, as well as have a thriving practice for two decades, if it weren’t for my foundation in the sciences here at Stony Brook University,” she says.

Finker sees this recognition as not only a personal milestone, but also a step forward for awareness of naturopathic medicine. “This opportunity helps raise visibility for the profession and showcases how Stony Brook alumni are contributing across diverse healthcare disciplines,” she adds.
