Women’s Self-Love Retreat Blends Dance, Drumming and Emotional Relief
Stress Is Gone delivers emotional healing in this immersive experience led by trauma recovery specialist Brett Cotter, somatic dance shaman Toni Bergins and African rhythmist Manas Itene. Beginning March 27 at the Himalayan Institute in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, attendees may register for the weekend or a full week experience. Attendees for the full week retreat can participate in a sound bath, group healings, Qigong, Yoga Nidra meditations, a bonfire and more.
Cotter, author and Stress Is Gone founder, guides participants through techniques designed to release stored emotional pain and trauma while calming the nervous system. Integrating intuitive questions, guided emotional expressions and higher power affirmations, Cotter helps attendees move beyond their anxiety and feel stress melt from their body. “Emotional healing can happen fast, once we understand the process” he says.
Toni Bergins, founder of JourneyDance, brings her signature conscious dance method, blending ritual, sweat and soulful storytelling to awaken joy and embody empowerment. Manas Itene, international percussionist with Michael Franti and ceremonial drummer, layers rhythm and vibration into the experience, creating “the heartbeat for transformation.” Together, this Dance and Drum collaboration offers participants a once-in-a-lifetime chance to dance away the stress of the world and reclaim their true power.
Recent retreat attendee Kelsey Foster shares, “My mom and I are feeling so fulfilled. There were no palpitations on my EKG right after the retreat, and that hasn’t happened in years. Thank you for helping us on our healing journey.”
Arlene Giacona, Therapist writes, "A group of 35 women holding space for one another, healing individually and as a group, unlocked power within us we never knew we had. The love in that room was palpable."
