Virtual Event on Prevention of Vision Loss
The Eye Summit 2026, a five-day virtual event focused on prevention and management of eye disease, is May 11 through 15. The event is free.
Hosted by Rudrani “Rani” Banik, MD, a board-certified neuro-ophthalmologist and associate professor of ophthalmology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, the summit will feature interviews with ophthalmologists, optometrists, neurologists and neuroscientists discussing age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, dry eye disease, migraine-related visual symptoms, concussion-related vision changes and lifestyle factors affecting eye health. There will be daily pre-recorded expert interviews. Optional VIP access includes live question-and-answer sessions, lifetime recordings and additional educational resources.
“The majority of vision loss worldwide is preventable or treatable with early detection and appropriate intervention,” Banik says. “The goal of The Eye Summit is to provide science-based information that helps individuals make informed decisions about protecting their eyesight.”
The 2025 Eye Summit drew more than 26,000 registrants from 84 countries, including approximately 10,000 health care professionals.
