GOOD VIBES - GREAT OUTDOORS

The ‘Outdoors’ Contribution to our Homeostasis

Regardless of the season, man has always been drawn to the outdoors for exercise, vitality and relaxation. Whether we prefer to bask in the sun and water on the beach or partake of fun in the winter cold and snow, we have four seasons to add variety to our lifestyles, as each season has its own appeal.

The seasons also have a more impactful influence on our lives. They inherently affect our emotions, hormones, metabolism and weight, as well as the immune system. Understanding the basic elements of the planet (water, wood, fire, earth and metal), and how they manifest in the body (As it is Above, So it is Below), can be a valuable tool in utilizing this knowledge to restore our health.

It is important to recognize the ways in which our bodies talk to us through changes in our homeostasis. Water manifests in the body through our kidneys and bladder, and impacts fear. Wood manifests in the body through our liver and gallbladder, and impacts anger. Fire manifests in the body through our heart and small intestines, and impacts joy. Earth manifests in the body through our stomach and spleen, and impacts worry. Metal manifests in our body through the lungs and colon, which impacts grief. The healing system of the Chinese 5-Elements reveals how we can identify health imbalances by the changes in which our bodies’ emotions and diets adjust to these five elements internally. Even the wisdom of the five elements in Ayurveda (Vata, Pita and Kapha), gives us remedies whenever the elements fall out of balance due to significant fluctuations in our sleep, emotions, hormones, diet or metabolism. Our body communicates with us through physical and emotional signs of digestive problems, uncontrolled anger, skin eruptions, breathing difficulties, urinary tract issues or excessive worry, grief or sorrow.

Join the next cycle of our master herb course to gain the knowledge and tools to heal thyself. The course takes a deep dive into these very principles of Creation, to help you redefine the narrative for your personal health transformation.
