Demonstration in Washington to Stop Fracked Gas Exports

“This is the first-ever major action in D.C. on this issue,” says Ted Glick, National Campaign Coordinator for the Chesapeake Climate Action Network. “Thousands of us will be there to show the strength of the movement against shale gas drilling and fracking. We’re calling for a rapid transition away from coal, gas and oil energy sources and toward wind power, solar energy and efficiency investments, which create jobs and a stable climate.”
A civil disobedience event is planned for the next day, July 14. To learn more and register for the demonstration, visit StopGasExports.org.
