Eastover Hosts Qi-Boosting Workshops in November
Junfeng Li, the former head coach of China’s National Wushu team, is considered the driving force behind the promotion of Sheng Zhen Healing Qigong, known as “the qigong of unconditional love.” He travels internationally to train and certify Sheng Zhen Gong teachers, practice himself or simply spend time with his students.
Li’s workshop will explore this series of qigong movements, which are dedicated to self-healing and removing negative energy. “These movements help the body collect qi and assist the mind in connecting to the greater universe,” he says. He will also explore Ba Gua Zhang, a martial art designed to make its practitioners flexible, dynamic and focused so they are more responsive and alert to situations.
Women’s Qi Cultivation will be taught by Susan Krueger, an internationally recognized practitioner, teacher and counselor of Chinese medicine, acupuncture, Ki-Shiatsu- Asian bodywork and healing arts, whole-health nutrition, integrative macrobiotics, face readings and women’s health. She has more than 30 years of clinical and teaching experience helping people get stronger and regain their health.
Krieger says she designed her three-day workshop as a “rejuvenating weekend away” for women, who can then take what they learn from her to promote their mind-body wellness at home. “Participants in this workshop will learn a holistic qi practice to create vitality, beauty, balance and nutritional health in their lives,” she says.
Meals and housing are included in the cost of Eastover’s workshops. For workshop schedules and pricing information, including options for accommodations, visit Eastover.org.
