Awaken Fair Features Chakra Expert and Author

The book is a compilation of essays written by the Chakra Collective, an organization of energy healers, psychics, artists, yogis and therapists. The Awaken Fair is a free event that will be held July 29, from 1 to 5 p.m., at the Roger Smith Hotel, located at 501 Lexington Avenue at 47th Street. Whiteman, who founded the Chakra Collective, will be at the fair throughout the day along with her coauthors, signing copies of the book and offering mini-sessions to attendees.
“The chakras, meaning ‘spinning wheel of light’ in Sanskrit, are the body’s main energy centers,” Whiteman says. “Balance in our energy centers is essential to our body’s physical, mental and spiritual development. This new book reveals the many influences chakras have in all aspects of our lives.”
Harmony in Chakras explains how to balance the chakras using essential oils, flower essences, crystals, jewelry, food, meditation and Reiki, and the importance of aligning the chakras for career development, goal setting, writing, speaking, listening, loving and dreaming. It also explores archetypes, hypnosis, muscle testing, pendulums and soul journeys, among other subjects.
