Natural Awakenings NYC & Long Island

Fast Forward Through February

As we usher in the cold weather, teens are trying to stay busy indoors. When polling my friends, most are watching movies, reading books and trying to connect virtually with their friends and families. Seniors are working on their college applications or watching college open houses online.

Since we have been indoors much more this year because of the pandemic, teens are becoming creative with how we fill our days.  One of my friends is teaching himself how to build furniture, many do music and dance lessons over Zoom, some have taken up cooking or baking. A lot of us are getting to tasks that we had put off for some time.

As February marches on, and we look to spring, it’s time to catch up on indoor organizing, learn new crafts and skills and finish projects that have long been put to the side. We are being introspective and enriching our knowledge now that we have more down time.
