Natural Awakenings Virtual Group Meditation Celebrates One Year Milestone
This month’s Natural Awakenings NYC and Long Island virtual community meditation group takes place from noon to 12:30 p.m., Friday, November 17, via Google Meets.
This month, we celebrate the one-year anniversary of the launch of Mind-Body-Breath, the first collaborative local Natural Awakenings wellness initiative. This free reader’s group begins with an open forum for attendees to briefly share thoughts on mindfulness and stress reduction, followed by 20 minutes of meditation facilitated by Natural Awakenings NYC-Long Island Co-Publisher Michael Lehrman.
“There’s been a lot of hard-to-digest news going on in the world lately. That, combined with the busyness of the holiday season, makes it the perfect time to solidify a meditation practice,” affirms Natural Awakenings NYC-Long Island Co-publisher, Michael Lehrman. “I love sharing the simplicity of a meditation practice with our Natural Awakenings family of readers and advertisers. It’s one of the most beneficial ways I’ve found to significantly reduce stress in my life. It brings us back to the present moment, which is the only moment we ever truly have.”
Lehrman invites all to join. “Whether you’re a seasoned meditator, or just stopping by to see what it’s all about, please join us as we take some time to relax and give our nervous systems a much-needed break from our busy lives,” he says.
Prior experience is unnecessary; participants can choose to be on or off-camera, and the sessions are not recorded.
