Hi, I’m Angela! My passion for nutrition and wellness comes from my own personal journey.
During college, I became very aware of my looks and began labeling foods as “good” and “bad” and made a strict rule with myself about maintaining my weight. My list of “bad” foods grew longer and longer, avoiding anything with fat. I continued with these thoughts upon starting my first job and that is when I began to feel so tired and run down. I looked in the mirror at my wasting appearance and decided I needed to do something about it.
It wasn’t until my own desire grew to find healing that I was set free from my wrong thoughts and feelings surrounding food. That truth set me free to live my life in a way where I can enjoy food and maintain a healthy weight. My desire is to teach others the simple truths that I learned along the way.
Through my own research I began to understand that not all fats are “bad” and that our bodies need fat in order to fuel our bodies and to have a clear mind to think rationally. Slowly I began to add “bad” foods back into my diet until I was able to completely shred my lists of “good” and “bad” foods and live with the freedom to choose what my body needs at that moment for fuel.
